Frankee Uno San Francisco presents:
"Linear Elements" paintings by Moira Burke
Displaying June 1, 2008 through August 31, 2008.
Artist's reception - July 19, 2008 7-10pm featuring music of Black Karma
About Linear Elements:
The work in this exhibit, linear elements, is the result of an exploration
of and long held fascination with lines and their interactions.
"Some can't see the forest for the trees; I can't see the trees for the
lines. Their intersections, their interactions, their relationships - for me
provide an obvious connection and compatibility among nature and science and
mathematics. Line is endless."- Moira Burke
The exhibit can be categorized into: a) abstracts of lines and b)
matrix-like grids, both from a variety of influences. All pieces are oil on
canvas and hand-framed by the artist, a carpenter's daughter.
About the music: Dynamic acid jazz by Black Karma
Featuring Devin Courtney Walker & Huy Nguyen

Frankee Uno San Francisco presents:
Interpreted Patterns
acrylic painting on canvas by Warren ReppenHagen
Closing Reception for the Artist
Sunday, September 16, 2007
6-8pm
Showing July 1, 2007 thru September 30, 2007
More on the artist:
Warren graduated with a BFA in art from Wayne State University in
Detroit, Michigan in 1982. He has worked as a professional
architectural interior designer for over twenty years, the last
sixteen as principle of ReppenHagen Design.
More on Interpreted Patterns:
Influenced by the years of architectural planning & design, Warren's
acrylic on canvas paintings reflect his interpreted patterns -
abstracted from the conceptualization of structural environments and
from drawing documentation such as floor plans and elevations.
Rectilinear shapes and the juxtaposition of color and their
interaction are used to emphasize the movement and the arrangement of
forms. His paintings evoke a strong architectural sense while
representing personal impressions of time and space, or of personal
sensory experiences.

DRAW! Closing Wine Sip
Monday, March 26, 2007
7:00 - 9:00pm
Due to the ongoing interest in Peter Foucault's Multi-media work
DRAW!, F.U.S.F. will host a wine sip to close the show. For those of
you who didn't get a chance to see the show, this isn't one to miss!
We will offer a 15% discount on any work purchased the night of the
closing.
More on Peter Foucault:
Peter Foucault is a multi-media artist who creates self-perpetuating systems responding to the elements of chance. In his current body of work, Peter has created a series of "drawing projects" that produce complex abstract compositions, and videos that reference the act of drawing. At the root of these projects is a constant tension between control and the loss of control. His works are concept driven, and he often utilizes objects that reference printmaking and the multiple.
Peter's work has been shown at the Freer and Sackler Gallery at the
Smithsonian Institute, Galleria Galou(NY) and the Portland Art Center.
